I'm not sure, I'm just not familiar with QL console commands.ĭoes any of you use or know a well-tried, 100% legit fps config? ![]() I want to play 100% clean, and they might contain some unclean settings. I googled and found some, but I'm not sure what those files really contain. I'm looking for a legit fps configuration, which maybe could help a little. So I set everything to low, set the lowest resolution, but the fps was still max 20. My laptop has a horrible graphics card (if you even can call it a graphics card.). ![]() It was fun, but the sad thing was, that I had really low fps (max 20). As mapamapa pointed out, if you are currently only in the 20-40 fps range with a low resolution, you probably won't be able to reach something like a solid 125 fps. If there are a lot of players present, lowering the impact sparks/mark stuff should help a bit. The biggest benefits should come from lowering resolution and disabling special effects like bloom, lightmap, etc. You can also try disabling some weapon related effects:Ĭg_impactsparks 0 (these are pretty redundant anyway if you have the dmg numbers enabled)Ĭg_impactmarktime (decrease could help if many players are present)Ĭg_marks 0 (probably not worth it as the marks might provide useful in-game info?)Ĭg_railtrailtime (decreasing this value will help, but only if many rails are fired in relatively short succession - instagib or any map that is rail heavy like the longest yard)Ĭg_screendamage 0 (probably doesn't help, but I'd turn it off anyway :))Ĭg_drawgun 0 (again probably doesn't help)Ĭg_muzzleflash 0 (again again probably doesn't help)Ĭg_smoke* (a few start with this and are related to the smoke trail on grenades and rockets - decreasing some of these values could help if there is a lot of spam) R_fastsky 1 (can't see through some teleporters with this) R_lodbias (only used for player models? - usually it's used to manipulate player models to fit the hitboxes better) R_picmip (anything > 0, probably more visual though) Some of the ones that come to mind atm are: If you want to tinker a bit, you can refer to a console guide (like ) and look through some of the "r_" cvars. ![]()
